Importance of Family & Friends

December 5, 2015

Family. A sentimental word with a definition as simple as, “a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household”. However, family is so much more than that. It’s a tight bond between those who are related and love each other. This holiday season, I encourage you to spend lots of time with your family (and friends) and to share the love.

Within some situations it may be harder than others however, the holidays is the perfect time to possibly make amends and patch up any family relationship holes. During Christmas time, it’s also a great opportunity to connect with those relatives and friends that you may not see that often. Personally, I’m super excited to give my round of hugs to aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas, grandpas, etc. etc..

Growing up, my family tried to stay as close as we could in our situation. I was brought up to cherish and treat the ones closest to you with love. Every since I child I was told that you only have one family and you can’t chose those who you were born to and with. As Princess Diana said, “Family is the most important thing in the world”. It may be the most simplest quotes, but it’s also one of the most important ones.

When my sister finally attempted to take a cute picture of us holding hands, it was dark and the lighting was awful.. BUT that’s besides the point! 🙂

I guess what I’m trying to say is.. cherish those around you because life is a lot shorter than we realize. Sending Christmas spirit to everyone around the globe.
