Lake Whatcom AirBNB

Lake Whatcom AirBNB

Last weekend I went on a little adventure with my mom for her birthday! Instead of hanging out downtown, we opted for a little AirBNB near the water. This is Quin’s Lake House.  As you can see it is one of the most charming and tranquil place you’ll find on the website, that isn’t too far from the lower mainland.

The Atmosphere

As soon as we walked in, there was an immediate relaxing ambience. There was calming music, fresh air blowing in through the French doors and it felt very clean. For the duration of the stay it felt as though we were in a more personalized hotel room. Not to mention the lovely decor and the giant mirror alongside the one wall is the perfect touch to making the room feel that much more spacious.

The Host

Upon arrival, we were instantly greeted by Lawrence. He gave us a tour of the yard giving us access to anything they could offer. Then, after giving us access to the room (keycode doors), he wished us a good stay and handed us a letter summarizing everything he’d mentioned. Anytime I messaged him, I’d receive a prompt response.

The Extras

Our trip was short and sweet, therefore we used it to unwind and didn’t have the chance to use what the hosts had to offer. To the side of the house are a couple kayaks that guests are welcome to use at their convenience. Lifejackets are provided and across the street is lake access. The lake itself was so warm and it’d be the perfect place to spend the day in the water. Other things provided was wood/paper if you wanted to use the fire pit and anything from dishes to, to coffee pods & milk.

The Visual

A big thank you to Lawrence and Jeanne for graciously welcoming us into their home and making our stay so pleasant! If you’re looking for a relaxing little retreat, I’d definitely recommend checking out their place.

Sending love around the world,

Taylor
